dear Family,

We are going to the brewers vs braves base ball game today. there are about 50 missionaries going, i am way excited, it should be fun.

this past week has gone well. the members hereare doing a great job of getting us referals, some good referals, some not so good, but the members are realy trying. we tought a boyfriend of a member yesterday. his name is tyler, he is a senior in high school, and asked his girlfriend and their family if it would be alright if he took the lessons. we tought him in the members home, but he wanted to do it just with us. he was very accepting and said that he is comming to church tomorrow. we have also gotten a referal for a family of 7, that has taken the lessons already. things have startedto pick up.

the past few days have been great, we have been in the 60's and 70's and sunny all of the time.

there is an investigator here that does a lot of leather work, including sewing leather, and i might be able to get her to fix my shoe for free, or cheep it they don't want to refund the shoes. the soles of the shoes are great, but the top isn't very good at all. the scratch and crack easily.

I don't have much time, we have to go to the game soon. I love you and appricate all of your support.

dear Family,

This week has been good. we had stake conference here and elder Ronald a. Rasband from the 70 came and spoke. it was great. all of the full time missionaries got up and sang called to serve in the adult session. it was neat. I got to seek several people in the Lake Mills and say hi.

we get to go to one college or professional sporting event each season for each sport. next monday, the 24th we are going to a baseball game for the brewers vs. the braves. that should be fun. I am excited, there are a ton of missionaries in milwaukee and surrounding area's going to the game.

Elder hill and i are having a good time and getting along fine. he is getting excited to go home, but still has a desire to go out and work most of the time, sometimes he takes some modivation, but most of the time he has been good.

Thankyou for the package, The camera is awesome. i will send the camera home when i get the chance. I don't think i will have to send my winter gear home. president and sister hunt have space in the mission home that they put stuff that missionaries want them to hold for them. as long as it isn't too much stuff they are generally willing to do that, so i might put my coat and stuff in a box and give to them until it starts to get cold.

this past week elder hill and i did a lot of organizing the informaion that we had because we were having a hard time figuring out what had been done by the last missionaries. there is a lot of potential for this area, there are a couple of investigators that were dropped that elder hil has strong ties to that we have started to teach again. he wants to at least commit them to baptism before he goes home on may 19 (i think it is the 19) the members here have done a good job taking care of us. we have had a dinner appointment almost every night. i havent had to buy food since i got here. it has been great.

Thank you for your prayers and support. I Love you all.

Dear family,

Well, I got Transfered to Elk horn with Elder Hill. my new address is:
168 Lewis st. #1
Elkhorn WI, 53121

So far this area is great, We were double transfered in, but elder hill knows a lot about the area because he served here for 3 months earlier. he has one transfer left and goes home in mid may. he requested to come back here for his last little bit. Elder hill is from Idaho and is the youngest of ten kids in his family. the members here love elder Hill, and haven't liked the few missionaries that were here while he was gone, so they are excited to have him back, and i am learning how to please the members here and work with them after listening to their frustrations with the past missionaries. he hasn't always been the hardest worker, but is determined to go out with a bang, and has been contacting a lot of people that he taught but have been dropped since he was here.

It is way different than my last area. there is a ward here that averages well over 200 people, and they are hoping to split the ward soon. Elder hill said last time he was here they needed 50 more people to split it. We get a dinner apointment almost every night and the members buy us food occasionally, there is a ton of food in the appartment. there are a few things that i have heard will probably happen wile i am here, one is they want us to move in with members as soon as our lease is up, which could be a early as next month but i am not sure. the bishop here is building a house with an appartment over the garage for the missionaries, but that won't be done for a while, so i think they might move us is somewhere else until that is finnished. this is also a huge area with a lot of people and a lot of work to do and needs two sets of misionaries, and there is a large group of missionaries comming in at the end of june, so they might make 2 area's out of this ward.

I found out that there was another baptism in the lake mills ward wich was a referal from the family recently baptized, he s a distant relative and has been great so far. the family has started to slip though and hasn't come to church too much. they live on the border of the lake mills area and here so i might try to aprove it to go up and talk to them and try to get them back to church.

Thank you for all that you do. I love you all

Dear Family,

This past week has been good. I have spent 15 hours in the car this week, with 2 trips to madison, 2.5 hours one way, and a trip to platteville for conference. Conference was great, we drove ot platteville, and stayed there saturday night with the elders there to save time and miles.

we had a non-member that has been a friend of missionaries for a while take us to pikes peak this morning. it was awesome. we could see prairie du chien, and the mississippi and wisconsin rivers join together, there are a ton of birds around the mississippi. We have seen several bald eagles, pelicans, seagulls, and many other birds. It was cool to be there. the mississippi isn't too big here, but it is neet to see it and the environment around it.

It has warmed up a ton and has rained a bunch the last week, all of the grass has turned green in the matter of a few days, it is cool.

transfer week is this week. My companion has an old companion that is serving in the office, and has found out from him that I am leaving, however, he could not get specifics of where. he found out who his new commpanion will be through a round about way, it is someone that i came out with. please send anything through the office this week, and they will get it to me.

Thank you for all of the support that you have given me. I appreciate all that you do. I love you all.
