Letter from Mark 10 April 2006

Dear family,

Well, I got Transfered to Elk horn with Elder Hill. my new address is:
168 Lewis st. #1
Elkhorn WI, 53121

So far this area is great, We were double transfered in, but elder hill knows a lot about the area because he served here for 3 months earlier. he has one transfer left and goes home in mid may. he requested to come back here for his last little bit. Elder hill is from Idaho and is the youngest of ten kids in his family. the members here love elder Hill, and haven't liked the few missionaries that were here while he was gone, so they are excited to have him back, and i am learning how to please the members here and work with them after listening to their frustrations with the past missionaries. he hasn't always been the hardest worker, but is determined to go out with a bang, and has been contacting a lot of people that he taught but have been dropped since he was here.

It is way different than my last area. there is a ward here that averages well over 200 people, and they are hoping to split the ward soon. Elder hill said last time he was here they needed 50 more people to split it. We get a dinner apointment almost every night and the members buy us food occasionally, there is a ton of food in the appartment. there are a few things that i have heard will probably happen wile i am here, one is they want us to move in with members as soon as our lease is up, which could be a early as next month but i am not sure. the bishop here is building a house with an appartment over the garage for the missionaries, but that won't be done for a while, so i think they might move us is somewhere else until that is finnished. this is also a huge area with a lot of people and a lot of work to do and needs two sets of misionaries, and there is a large group of missionaries comming in at the end of june, so they might make 2 area's out of this ward.

I found out that there was another baptism in the lake mills ward wich was a referal from the family recently baptized, he s a distant relative and has been great so far. the family has started to slip though and hasn't come to church too much. they live on the border of the lake mills area and here so i might try to aprove it to go up and talk to them and try to get them back to church.

Thank you for all that you do. I love you all

Elder Lundberg
